To the Viridian Community,
As we close out the year, I want to extend my appreciation to everyone who has supported Viridian Metals through an important chapter in our company’s growth. This year has been transformative. It’s been a period of disciplined execution, strategic learning, and meaningful progress across our assets in Labrador.
I am often reminded that luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. In my view, that is where Viridian Metals stands today.
Over the past several years, I have focused on building Viridian with intention. That has meant assembling scale early, developing a deep technical understanding of large copper systems before they were widely recognized, and operating with discipline as the company transitioned into a public explorer.
As the copper sector moves into a period of sustained growth, that preparation becomes increasingly relevant. Viridian enters this phase as a technically credible copper explorer, with a drill-tested system at Kraken and basin-scale optionality at Sedna, positioned to convert preparation into discovery and long-term value.
What We Accomplished This Year
This year was about establishing a foundation for long-term value.
Some of the highlights include:
- Successfully completed BHP’s Xplor exploration accelerator program, providing Viridian with global exposure, peer benchmarking, and increased visibility among major mining companies, investors, and technical leaders.
- Built Viridian Metals’ reputation as a technically credible and disciplined explorer, recognized by peers, partners, and regulators through our generative exploration approach, strong technical partnerships, and responsible operating practices.
- Secured the largest claim position in Newfoundland and Labrador, establishing district-scale optionality and first-mover advantage across one of Canada’s most under-explored copper regions.
- Established strategic technical partnerships, including collaboration with iCRAG, strengthening our access to advanced research, basin-scale geological frameworks, and data integration that directly informs target generation.
- Completed our transition to the Canadian Securities Exchange, creating a public platform aligned with our stage of development while expanding access to capital and long-term shareholders.
- Deepened our geological understanding of Labrador’s copper systems, integrating multi-year fieldwork, regional synthesis, and new datasets to materially improve targeting confidence at both the project and basin scale.
These achievements reflect the focus and commitment of our team and partners. They also demonstrate that Viridian Metals is taking steady, strategic steps toward discovery.
What We Learned
This year reinforced several truths that will guide our approach moving forward:
- Generative exploration requires thinking ahead of the drill bit. Building system-scale understanding before advancing to drilling materially reduces risk and improves capital efficiency.
- Scale matters early. Controlling a district-scale land position ahead of discovery creates strategic optionality that cannot be replicated later.
- Credibility is cumulative. Consistent technical execution, careful disclosure, and responsible engagement build confidence over time with partners, investors, and regulators.
- Discipline creates leverage. By sequencing work carefully and matching spend to data quality, we preserved flexibility while continuing to advance the portfolio.
These lessons position us to move confidently into the next phase of our work.
What We’re Focused on Next
Entering 2026, our priorities are clear:
- Proactively positioning Viridian Metals in the market, communicating the significance of our progress as we advance two emerging base-metals systems in Canada.
- Translating technical progress into accessible milestones, connecting our geological work to the value drivers that matter to shareholders.
- Raising awareness of two advancing copper opportunities, positioning Kraken as a drill-tested system at camp scale and reframing Sedna as a globally significant copper basin.
Why You Should Feel Confident in the Path Ahead
Every step we take next year is aimed at one outcome: meaningful, long-term value creation through disciplined execution and responsible capital stewardship.
Copper remains a cornerstone of the global energy transition. Demand continues to rise. New discoveries matter. And regions like Labrador will play a critical role in the world’s ability to meet that demand.
Our approach is simple: Work carefully. Work responsibly. Build value that lasts.
Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and belief in Viridian Metals. We look forward to sharing updates as we enter our next phase of growth.
Wishing you a safe and prosperous year ahead.
